We left Silver Lake at 0615 and after a quick stop-off at Walmart for more ice and miscellaneous supplies, we began our 1,157 mile journey to Denver.
As you can imagine, a lot of the time was spent on the road, bar refuelling and bathroom/stretch stops. I did manage to convince my travelling partner to stop off in Hastie, IA. I even got to drive there myself! Alas, we got there and there was no road sign. Totally gutted!
By the time we got to Denver, we were both absolutely shattered – it had been a long, long day. We’ve classed this a “catch-up day” so really I have little else to report!
