We left the hotel a little later again. We’re taking the trip a little easier from now on – we have the time to.

Today was the day for Mount Rushmore – so another exciting landmark to tick off the list.

Mount Rushmore.

Mount Rushmore was a little different than expected. It’s very well hidden from view until you actually drive up to the area that’s built around it. It’s a well established area, though I think the closest township (Rapid City) has a population of 300 or so but even just driving through there we would have seen hundreds more than that. It must be a thriving little town. We didn’t stop there.

Other than Mount Rushmore, there wasn’t really much to report on this leg of the journey!

Montana Countryside.

Another beautiful day in America (that’s Montana above) – another day of driving.
