When I first started working for NZ Army near the end of 2008, the website was already outdated. The use of blue, red and white didn’t say “Army”. After the launch of the (now defunct) Army Jobs website in September 2010, a decision was made to change the theme of the main corporate site to match.

I was tasked with taking the existing red and blue site and re-skinning it to create a more streamlined brand between the two. You can see what the Army Jobs site looked like in my post about it.

The graphic design was already completed by an external agency, but it needed to be coded to fit the existing Microsoft CMS templates we had available. The Army Jobs site used a different CMS (Sharepoint 2007) so it wasn’t possibly to directly correlate the design back to a Microsoft CMS template.
